2016 “Nike” National Junior Tennis Tournament (No.11 and No.12 for U16) will be started in Tebon Securities Dalian Tennis Center (Dalian Sports Center – Tennis Center) from July 11 to 24. This is the second time for the Sports Center to hold such event.

       In recent years, along with the rapid upgrading of the level of the tennis in China, Chinese athletes made the remarkable achievement in the international tennis, and Chinese tennis gained more and more attentions from the world. At the same time, more and more Chinese teenagers are devoted to the tennis, so there will be a vigorous development of tennis in China in the future. The training of the youth tennis athletes is the key to the development of Chinese tennis in the future.

       NJT (NIKE JUNIOR TOUR) is a worldwide tennis game plan. From 2004, NJT series tournament was introduced into China as a kind of high-level tennis game for the youth, under which thousands of junior athletes were selected from all over the country to play the games, so as to offer the junior athletes the opportunities to play with the athletes of the same ages, draw the experience, and broaden the horizon. This tournament not only plays an important role of active promotion in the popularization of the youth tennis sport in China and the cultivation of the reserve talents, but also gets the positive response and enthusiastic participation by the masses of the young tennis enthusiasts, and then becomes the bridge for Chinese young tennis enthusiasts to success. So far, a number of great athletes, such as Federer, Nadal, Sharapova, and Serena Williams, have made the remarkable achievements in the world with the support of such NJT plan.

       Tebon Securities Dalian Tennis Center (Dalian Sports Center – Tennis Center) provides 10 outdoor courts for this tournament. The scale of such event in Dalian will be larger than that in the last year. It is believed that this tournament in Dalian in this year will be an intense, brilliant, and successful competition for the teenagers, and more excellent junior tennis athletes will emerge. With the 2016 WTA 125K Dalian International Women’s Tennis Open getting closer, the Sports Center will undertake various tennis competitions and events in order to warm up the Open and create the atmosphere of tennis in Dalian.

       Special tip: During the games of the tennis, the Tennis Center will not be open to the public for free on Wednesday for the time being.
