On August 19, hosted by IKO Foundation and undertaken by Dalian Fighting Spirits MMA Budokan, the 3rd Oyama Cup Karate Championship will be kicked off in the Comprehensive Stadium of Dalian Sports Center, which will last for one day.

       Karate is a classic sport that is popular in the world. It focus on exercising one’s indomitable wills, inspire the firm and indomitable fighting spirits and constant self-transcendence while building the body and improving martial skills. It will become an official competition event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

As the karate event of the largest scale and highest level in Northeast of China, Oyama Cup Karate Championship has been successfully been held for two times. The previous two were held in the Sports Center.

       It is learned that event of this year will reach the highest standard and have many karate masters. Athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries have signed up for this event. Moreover, the Committee specially invite more than ten karata champions from Japan for this event. At that time, over 300 domestic and foreign athletes will gather in the Sports Center for the championship; this event has diversified setups, which includes juvenile group, teenage group, adult group, and prime-age group. The audience can not only watch wonderful matches and experience the connotation and charm of Budo culture.    

       This Championship will boost the development of karate and enhance the competition levels of karate in Northeast of China, which is of great significance to the selection and discovery of excellent and professional talents of karate.
