Dalian Stop of ‘Olympic Games Come True’ Golden Cycling League will start in the indoor track and field gymnasium of the Sports Center on June 3. Spectators cannot wait to watch such lovely competition.

       This competition has attracted approximately 300 families. It is classified into group relay and flat ground sprint. Participants are all toddlers and children aged 2-5 years old. They are not babies in arms of their mothers any more, and many of them have long ridden balance bikes on tracks, which we can referred to as ‘old-hand cyclers’! As an event for toddlers and children aged 2-5 years old, this competitive sport will fill in the gap of large-scale professional balance bike event in Northeast China.

       Balance bike is a kind of child’s sports toy that is popular in Europe and America. After the child reaches 2 years old, tool can be utilized to develop his/her body movement skills and balance ability. Balance bike practice is a good approach, and it is the tool that is commonly used by those aged 2-5 years old in European countries to practice his/her sense of balance, and coordination capabilities of hands, eyes, brain and body. In recent two years, parents in China have gained growing sense towards balance bike, and they have consciously paid attention to the development of their children’s early physical strength and coordination and sense of balance. More and more children have gone outdoors, and grown fond of cycling. The reason why so many parents prefer their children to participate in this competition is that they want their children to develop competition awareness, improve the degree of attention in competitive sports, and exercise the fighting spirits and attitude towards winning and losing, not just for places in the competition or prizes. They want their children to experience competitions. Though children would tumble over or suffer from setbacks, it is also a precious experience for the children.

       It is believed that toddlers and children can experience the joy of competing with those of the same age, and enjoy themselves in the cycling carnival customized for them.
