In order to comprehensively intensify the cultivation of reserve badminton talents, promote the selection and cultivation of youth badminton elites in China, and provide more opportunities for children and teenagers to learn from each other and chances for competitions, Chinese Badminton Association organized 2018 National Youth Badminton Winter Camp and National Youth Badminton League in the Sports Center, lasting from March 30 to April 8. 43 teams and 400 teenagers from all over the country have gathered in the Sports Center for the youth ‘badminton feast’.

       This winter camp lasts for 10 days. Participants in this camp are all aged from 10 to 11, some of whom are accompanied by their parents. All the participants and their coaches have stayed in the athletes’ apartments of the Sports Center. In order to guarantee the young participants’ safe and timely accommodation, athletes’ apartments have well prepared the rooms and assigned special staff for the reception of teams arrived in. Moreover, as the major competition and training venue, the Comprehensive Stadium of the Sports Center have redefined 18 badminton courts in the basketball zone of comprehensive hall for assorted balls besides the 7 courts in the badminton hall, which are used for trainings and competitions.

       There are constant sounds caused by sneakers running on the floor coming from the Comprehensive Stadium. Swinging rackets and shedding sweat are teenagers showing themselves and wonderful performances on the competitive stage. They will be the famous national badminton players in the future. This winter camp has accelerated the cultivation for the reserve talents of competitive sports, advanced the Sports Center to improve the public service system of youth sports and create more excellent base training and competition environment for teenagers.
