On the morning of November 4, co-hosted by Dalian Basketball Association and Dalian Sports Center, the 2nd Dalian ‘Sports Center·Great World Cup’ Basketball League for Enterprises and Public Institutions was kicked off in Damai Center (Dalian Sports Center-Stadium). It has received great support from and been actively participated by organs directly under the municipal government, enterprises and public institutions, totaling up to 16 units. During the league, 36 matches will be organized on Saturdays and Sundays from November 4 to November 25.

       On the first day, after the whistle at the start of the game, the training stadium was brimmed with players’ hot sweat, focused eyes, cool ball control, accurate shooting, and sounds of basketball hitting the floor and audience’s cheers, with wonderful games played.

       This basketball league is the concrete measure taken in order to respond to ‘extensively carry out public fitness activities’ and ‘accelerate the construction of a sports power’ proposed in Report of the 19th CPC National Congress. It aims to carry forward the spirit of sports, create the strong atmosphere of extensive mass fitness, enhance the friendship between municipal organs and enterprises and public institutions, and provides a good platform to promote mutual communication and understanding for each unit.

       As the token of the city sports, Dalian Sports Center has undertaken domestic and international professional events, e.g. the 12th National Games of PRC, CFA Team China International Football Match, Dalian Tennis Open, Sino-Iranian Men’s International Basketball Challenge, CHINA Professional Boxing Tournament, etc. Moreover, it has also organized amateur sports events of various contents and in diversified forms. In this way, it enables citizens to experience professional site of international level on their doorstep, and has also accumulated rich experience. We believe that we can make the participating units feel the professional guarantee services during this event.
