The 2017 Dalian Four-Country Men's Basketball Elite Contest sponsored by Dalian Sports Bureau and undertaken by Dalian Anschutz Entertainment & Sports Development Co., Ltd. will be held at Damai Center (Dalian Sports Center-Stadium) from August 9 to August 11. As China’s traditional basketball team, on behalf of China, the Liaoning Team will compete with three European traditional teams, respectively, the Serbian National Team, the Lithuanian National Team and the Montenegro National Team. The top players of the four teams will “spare no pains” to provide basketball fans with six fabulous strength contests lasting three days!

As one of the significant warm-up matches before the National Games, the Liaoning Team attaches great importance to this contest. Such players as Zhao Jiwei, Yang Ming, Li Xiaoxu, Lian Ming and Gao Shiyan will go to Dalian to compete with three national teams, making the final preparation for the men's basketball contest of the National Games.

       The three foreign teams in the contest are all national teams from basketball powerhouses, with an aim to do some warm-up exercises for the European Men's Basketball Championships to be held this year. As the double runner-up of the World Cup and the Olympic Games, the Serbian National Team is composed of a plurality of players who play for Serbia’s traditional team Partizan Belgrade and the NCAA basketball team. As one of the Top 3 Giant Teams in the basketball world, the Montenegro National Team as a member of the former Yugoslavia Men’s Basketball Team sent a plurality of experienced players to the contest as well. The Lithuanian National Team winning the European champion thrice attaches great importance to this contest. Before entering the contest in Dalian, the Lithuanian National Team will participate in the International Men’s Basketball Tournaments held in Kunshan, Jiangsu, and Chengdu, Sichuan, and compete with the Chinese National Team, the New Zealand National Team and the Angola National Team to make full preparations for the contest in Dalian.

       It is understood that it is the first time for the Sports Center to undertake the Four-Country Men’s Basketball Elite Contest, but the Sports Center has successively undertaken a number of professional contests such as the Sino-Australian Men's Basketball Club Tour and the Sino-Iranian International Men’s Basketball Match in recent years, as well as such amateur contests as the CBA 3x3 League, the National Basketball Open, the 3rd Dalian Basketball League and the “Sports Center Cang Ci Security Cup” Campus Basketball Tournament. Through undertaking basketball events at all levels, the Sports Center has accumulated rich experience, founded its own brand and further elevated its influence in the field, thereby, laying a good foundation for introducing famous events from home and abroad.
