‘National Swimming Fitness Week’ and Dalian Youth Swimming Popularization and Public Benefit Activity Will Be Held in the Sports Center

       Sponsored by Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau, Dalian Education Bureau, China Communist Youth League Dalian Committee, Ganjingzi District Culture and Sports Bureau, and Ganjingzi District Education Bureau, and undertaken by Aoteng Sports Industry (Dalian) Co., Ltd., and Dalian Sports Center, 2017 ‘National Swimming Fitness Week’ and Dalian Youth Swimming Popularization and Public Benefit Activity will be held in the Natatorium of the Sports Center at 1:00 PM on July 19.

       July 16 is the anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong's swimming tour of the Yangtze River. Before and after the anniversary of each year, swimmers across the country will invariably participate in various swimming activities, thereby making a national fitness wave. The swimming popularization and public benefit activity is aimed at promoting common sense on safe swimming, popularizing basic skills of prevention of drowning, and focusing on cultivating and enhancing the teenagers’ self-protection awareness on water activities, thus promoting and popularizing common sense on swimming safety, and making more people to participate in scientific swimming fitness team. During the activity, famous professional swimming coaches will be invited to instruct youth swimmers for public benefit purpose. In order to show the commonweal, universality, and involvement, this activity will recruit 100 teenagers in the city for free trainings. Primary and secondary school students who would like to apply for it can follow WeChat Official Platforms of ‘Dalian Sports Center’ and ‘Aoteng Sports’. Swimming enthusiasts are welcome to apply for this activity.
