Primary and Secondary School Swimming Contest of Ganjingzi District 

2016 to Be in Sports Center on Sunday

       In order to improve the Ganjingzi youngsters swimming competitive level, Primary and Secondary School Swimming Contest of Ganjingzi District 2016, sponsored by the Education Bureau of Ganjingzi District and Ganjingzi District Bureau of Culture and Sports, organized by Auteng Sports Industry (Dalian) Co., Ltd. and Dalian Sports Center Natatorium, and co-organized by Dalian City Lifesaving Association and Dalian City Winter Swimming Association will be held in Dalian Sports Center Natatoriumon November 20th (this Sunday).

       Since its recruitment, this competition has been getting strong support from the swimming enthusiasts from the primary and secondary schools of Ganjingzi District, and registration was closed on November 15th. The events of the competition is divided into the 50 meter individual events of freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and floating plate kick competition; 4 x 50 meter kick relay, and 6 x 50 m freestyle parent-child relay race. Athletes are divided into primary school groups and secondary school groups by gender and school, the kick relay is divided into men's and women's groups, while parent-child freestyle relay is not limited to men and women competition. The judges and arbitrators for this competition are from Ganjingzi District Sports Bureau of Dalian City, the top 8 athletes will be awarded for each event, and the athletes with outstanding performance will be selected to join the swim team of the sports school.

       It is understood that before this event, the organizing committee has also organized public lectures for the youngsters against drowning and the class for parent-child interaction in lifesaving experience for students and parents to know the matters needing attention in the process of swimming, the methods to save yourself when falling into water and the method of emergency rescue of the drowning, and to enhance the safety awareness of school students and their parents.

       While selecting outstanding young swimmers for Dalian City, this competition will also integrate youth sports with education, which will not only make the young feel the unique sports and culturecharm of swimming, but also improve juvenile swimming reserve personnel system, and lay a solid foundation for cultivating youth sports reserve talents who have all-round development with outstanding specialty.
