2016 Dalian Women's Tennis Open Starts, China’s Ace Tennis Player Peng Shuai Enters with Wildcard

Today is the second day of the main draw of 2016 Dalian Women's Tennis Open and we saw a familiar figure in the game - China star tennis player Peng Shuai, who is participating in the tournament with a main draw wildcard this year.

After withdrawing from French Open last year, Peng Shuai received a lumbar surgery in the United States and missed all the events in 2015 season after French Open. At the beginning of the 2016 season, Peng Shuai chose to return in Shenzhen Open, but she only played doubles due to the health reasons. She also missed Australian Open. In August this year at the Olympic Games, Peng Shuai had a hard match of three games in womens singles and was stopped at the first round although saving the match point the last minute. Subsequently, Peng Shuai returned to the Grand Slam and was beaten by the opponent after winning one game, missing the US Opens singles first round.

As a genius girl of China for womens tennis, Peng Shuai had beaten WTA top 10 players when she started out, including Kim Clijsters, the famous player of Belgium. For the tennis event at the Eleventh National Games in 2009, Peng Shuai won four gold medals including the womens team, the mixed doubles, the women's singles and the women's doubles; in 2013at the Twelfth National Games, she defended all four champion titles including the women's team, the mixed doubles, the women's doubles, and the women's singles; in July 2013, Peng Shuai won Wimbledon women's doubles champion and this is the first Grand Slam champion in her career ; in October the same year, she won womens doubles in the annual final, creating the history in Asia. In February,2014, Peng Shuai officially became the world champion of Women's Doubles. In June, 2014, she won the womens doubles champion at French Open, which is her second Grand Slam title.

In recent years her performance declined as she has been plagued by injuries. Despite this, she still actively expressed that retirement is not in her plan yet. "I must make decisions for my own career, although I have encountered many difficulties, but I will not regret it as long as I have tried my best. Anyway, I will not retire in 2017.” We believe, with your support, Peng Shuai will be able to go further and fight back in Dalian Women's Tennis Open in Dalian. We are sure that Peng Shuai will get better results.
