On Aug. 20th, the two-day event of 1st “Northern City Cup” Basketball Tournament of Dalian Sports Center was successfully completed in Damai Sports and Culture Center (Stadium of Dalian Sports Center). This tournament was organized by Government of Ganjingzi District of Dalian and Dalian Xinghai Bay Development and Construction Administration Center, and six basketball teams with players from the organs, enterprises and public institutions participated in the tournament, which was divided into two stages for group game and final game respectively. The champion and runner-up were determined after 11 wonderful games.     

       This tournament is the combination of studies on the theoretical and practical issues of party building and the implementation of National Health Regulations by all participating organizations. With “confirming Party building studies, developing sports, strengthening physique and building the Chinese dream” as the theme, this event was held to promote the spiritual civilization building, enrich employees’ cultural and sports life and improve employees’ physique. This event also calls for the conversion of the solidarity and the spirit of tenacious struggle on the court into the work motivation, and the further promotion of the Party building studies by this event.

       To host the basketball tournament, professionalsports flooring, funnel scoring system and field event recording and other first-classinternational facilities and equipment have been used in Damai Sports and Culture Center (Stadium of Dalian Sports Center). In the game,not only the players can feel the charm ofthe stadium that can host the games of NBA standard, but also all the organizations have further strengthened learning and exchanges, and enhanced friendship through the competition.
