YONEX “Zheng Jie Cup” Teenager Tennis Tour in 2016 was launched from June of this year, the tour attracted over 3,000 youth tennis contestants around the country to attend the competition, and it offered professional display opportunities and competition platform for them. In order to respond to national call of nationwide fitness and quality education, “Zheng Jie Cup” events were enlarged into eight stations this year, including Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Tai’an, Beijing, Fuzhou, Hohhot, Guiyang. In August of this year, Dalian Sports Center as host place of finals will witness the rising of many new tennis stars.

International Women’s Open Tennis Championship started to spread popularity of
Sports Center, and created good tennis atmosphere as well, attracted more and
more tennis matches to converge in Sports Center. Established by China’s tennis
golden flower, Zheng Jie, “Zheng Jie Cup” Teenager Tennis Championship has
passed 7 years till now since 2009. For the event named after her own name,
Zheng Jie paid more attention to it. In the matches, she participated in
setting up each detail of the matches by herself, and took a lot of time to
exchange and interact with small contestants who took part in matches. For
specific program setup, “Zheng Jie Cup” is divided into two
programs as men’s singles and women’s singles this year. The matches adopt
competition form of tournament for the first time, and first 16 contestants
with total points in respective female and male competition for each age group
can be promoted to national finals. All Championships, Second Winners, Third Winners
in different groups will be invited to attend “Elite training camp” activities
created by Zheng Jie team and accept guidance by Zheng Jie. Zheng Jie
introduced that the initial intention of creating “Zheng Jie Cup” was to make
more teenagers to participate in tennis activities, promote and develop tennis
activities of China’s teenagers, select tennis talents, and finally improve
overall strength and levels of China’s tennis.
