This year is the third year of Dalian Tennis
Open. Its reception standards have been elevated to a higher level compared
with those in previous years. As the open was drawing near, players, coaches,
referees, WTA officials had started arriving in Dalian. One player participating in Dalian
Tennis Open for the first time told the reporter that she was surprised at the
reception work of this open, ‘I arrived in Dalian quite early in the morning. I was
picked up as soon as I got off the plane. Traveling from the hotel to tennis
courts is very convenient, which facilitates our trainings, competitions and
rest. I will definitely have a good time here’.
60 players from more than 20 countries and
regions participated in this Open. No matter when they arrived in Dalian, there would be
working staff picking them up in the airport and at the high-speed rail
station. They would feel the thoughtful services provided by the Organizing Committee
and the hotel from their hotel check-in. Phoenix Hotel
Dalian-Media Center of Dalian Sports Center has been designated as the hotel of
Dalian Tennis Open for 2 consecutive years, having received full recognition
from players and officials. Though it has experience in accommodating domestic
and foreign sports teams, arrangements for food, clothing, accommodation and
means of traveling during the Open are different from those of team
competitions since all participants of this open participate in as individuals.
Therefore, the Organizing Committee and the hotel have done advanced
preparations to put the reception work in place, thus enabling each player to
train, compete and rest in a convenient and comfortable environment. It is learned that the hotel has been fully
prepared in order to accommodate the participants of this Open. Based on the
dietary habits of players of each region, the executive chef has carefully
selected fresh seasonal food materials and customized food menus for the
welcome dinner, buffets and tea breaks during the competition, which enables
the participants to feel the considerate services of the hotel cook team; the
hotel also provides rapid laundry service, i.e. to be returned within 24 hours,
for each player, thus guaranteeing the player’s clothes could be timely cleaned
and changed; moreover, the Organizing Committee provides Quanzai cars, the
green and environment-protection new-energy electric vehicles-designated as the
exclusive vehicles of the event, for players, with which it only takes 2
minutes from the hotel to the competition and training courts. The person in charge of Phoenix
Hotel told us, ‘we are constantly improving our internationalized reception
capability while cooperating with various sports competitions. The service
standards comply with requirements of players participating in international
competitions. During the process, we have gained experience and the players
have received premium services’.
The Organizing Committee has been providing
considerate services in terms of food, clothing, accommodation and means
of traveling for players, guaranteeing that each player
puts all his/her heart into the game in a comfortable and convenient
environment.
