The Sports Center Is Creating the Best Sports Environment for Teenagers during Winter Vocation Events Preparation
Since this year, competitions and base
trainings held in the Sports Center have demonstrated diversified and internationalized trends, embracing a peak of
youth sports in winter vocation.
In September of this year, the Sports Center held WTA 125
Dalian International Women’s Open for the second time. Before the event, youth
tennis competitions have become the highlight of event promotion. Since this
July, the Sports Center has consecutively sponsored NIKE National Junior Tennis Ranking
(the 11th Stop and 12th Stop of U16), “Panasonic · Bingshan
Cup” Adolescent Tennis Competition, National Finals of “Zhengjie Cup”
Teenager Tennis Tour and other youth tennis competitions, which has preheated International Women’s Open and stimulated
the teenagers’ enthusiasm of participating in and watching tennis competitions. For base trainings, the sports center first
accommodated youth football summer training camp teams outside of Dalian. Teenagers, who
love football, interacted with Dalian professional football teams, saw their
idols for themselves, had “zero-distance” contact with, trained and lived
together with professional players based in the Sports Center, and communicated
with Dalian local campus football clubs. Moreover, Yongguan Iron Kids Summer
Camp integrating “swimming, bicycle, and running” attracted many kids having
courage to face challenges to sign up for its novelty.
Statistics shows that the number of
competitions and base trainings held in the Sports Center has reached the
peak. In July and August alone, approximately 2,000 kids from Dalian,Beijing, Jilin and Suzhou had trainings and
competitions of football, tennis, swimming, bicycle, running, etc.
Although the number of youth competitions in
winter will reduce as affected by the weather, the Sports Center is exerting
more efforts to create sound environment for youth competitions and base
trainings in winter and increase the quality of youth sports in winter
vocation.
