Guided by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China (SEAC) and General Administration of Sport of China,2016 National Basketball Open (Dalian) hosted by China Promoting Minority Culture & Art Association, Organizing Committee of National Basketball Open and sponsored by Dalian Basketball Association and Dalian LOHAS Sports was started on October 15, and its finals will be held in Damai Center (Dalian Sports Center-Stadium) on November 19. 24 Dalian local amateur basketball teams have participated in this open, and the champion team will attend the finals on behalf of Dalian.

       It is known as held in 56 cities, a total number of 1,344 basketball teams have participated in this open, which will last for more than 4 months and have more than 4,000 games. The champion team in each division will attend the national finals held in Guangzhou in the middle of December. According to different ages, competition level, etc., this open is classified as “Future Star Youth Group”, “Undergraduate Inheritance Group”, “Urban Competition Group”, “Middle-aged and Elderly Honor Group” and “Club-VS-Club Group”, which will cover all ages. In the meantime, this open will be held offline and live webcast, offering basketball fans surprises through online and offline activities.

       As a national basketball competition jointly participated by Chinese basketball fans throughout the world, it aims to build an “open, inclusive, co-creating and shared” big sports and physical fitness platform, step up efforts to build a basketball homeland for lifetime commitment, and strive to build up a sports event brand with Chinese characteristics.

       This event will also draw attention from basketball fans in Dalian and trigger a wave of keeping fit. Dalian Sports Center has professional basketball fields of NBA standards, 18 outdoor basketball fields and comprehensive indoor basketball fields, where basketball fans can watch games and enjoy the pleasure brought by basketball.
