It is introduced by the experts that this sports gym is a project in “suspendome” structure with the largest span in the world currently. The total weight of the roof steel structure reaches more than 7,000 tons. The future gym will be able to undertake class A world events, including NBA basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, handball, gymnastics, ice sports events, etc. At the same time, it also has a function to hold large performances or cultural activities. In addition to ordinary stands, there are extension type seats, box seats, rebroadcast rooms, etc. in the stadiums and gyms. The underground parking lot and food and beverage facilities are also complete in every line.

The Sports Stadium covers an area of 135 thousand sq. m. with 60,832 seats, which is the biggest individual item in the Sports Center.

At the “shoulder” part of the sports stadium canopy, a venting hole for air to flow freely can be developed by adjusting the air pillow angle, so that audiences in the sports stadium can view matches more comfortably. The external decorating materials of the sports stadium is made of a kind of unique membrane. When it rains, the rainwater can wash away the surface contamination easily. Therefore, the sports stadium having more than 2,500 air bags can “wash face” for itself. It is a large individual building in a membrane structure next to the “Water Cube” in Beijing currently in the world.

Natatorium

High technology can be found everywhere

The Natatorium has a total of 4,200 seats, in which there are a standard swimming pool for competition, a warm-up pool and diving sports facilities. The technical level of its electrified intelligent equipment is at a leading position domestically. The underwater intelligent monitor system in the competition pool can not only observe the underwater actions of athletes, but can also identify an underwater distress and activate an alarm to ensure personnel safety. The competition pool is also installed with such humanized facilities as mobile end wall and electric water entry apparatus provided specially for the disabled athletes, etc.

Air wave generation and water wave generation systems as well as internationally advanced safety air cushion system are provided in the diving pool to protect diving athletes effectively to avoid accidental injury in training. The water treatment system in the swimming gym is the international most advanced biological purification system with the environmental protection level reaching the international standard.

Tennis Center

The “green wall” view is very unique

The tennis center is called by the designer as “green wall”, which is a unique view in the Sports Center. The reason that it is called as “green wall” is because on both west and east sides of the main tennis competition center there is a silver-white steel structure and color glass green wall design and in design, attention was paid to green color, ecology indeed. The tennis center is of one floor and a half sink type that is more appropriate for viewing matches.

The tennis center includes one final ground, two semi-final grounds, a tennis gym consisting of 4 grounds, 8 competition grounds and 6 exercise grounds. The final ground has more than 10 thousand audience seats. The main tennis center is constructed according to international standards, including the most advanced hawk eye technology for judgment in tennis competitions.

Baseball field

The fan-shaped baseball field is one with smallest size, building area in the building group of the Sports Center, but it has complete functions, is economical and practical, which can be turned into a standard softball field and can hold 3,000 people to view matches.
