2016 Dalian Baseball League Is Officially Open with Baseball Fans Allowed to Watch for Free

       Under the sponsorship of Dalian Baseball Association and Dalian Baseball Alliance, 2016 Dalian Baseball League has officially begun its serial matches on April 10, which will be continually held until the end of July. 12 baseball teams will participate in the matches and these teams will come from China,Japan, Canada, etc. Foreign teams are mostly composed of company staff members, foreign language school teachers and clerks of foreign offices stationed in Dalian. Starting from the coming weekend, baseball fans can watch these games for free at the Baseball Field of the Sports Center.

       It is learned that, among these participating teams, Dalian Blue Sea Baseball Team has maintained an inseparable bond with the Sports Center. Made up of former players of the National Baseball Team and Liaoning Baseball Team, Dalian Blue Sea Baseball Team has participated in Dalian League matches every year and has won a number of titles of League Champion and Cup Champion. As a representative of Dalian Baseball Team, Blue Sea participated in the Test Event of the 12th National Games at the Baseball Field of the Sports Center in 2013 and won the bronze medal of the event. Ever since the Sports Center is opened to the public, Blue Sea has conducted its daily training here. Hence the Baseball Field of the Sports Center turned out to look more like the home field of this team. On Children’s Day, Blue Sea also provided free baseball training and instructions for children baseball fans. Such an alliance with the Blue Sea Baseball Team has brought fresh vitality to the Baseball Field of the Sports Center.  

       So far, the Baseball Field of the Sports Center has sponsored Dalian Baseball League Matches and the National Youth Softball Tournament for two consecutive years. The Center has also sponsored the National Coach Training Course and the National Softball Pitcher Training Camp. These baseball events and training courses have greatly promoted the development of baseball in Dalian and help the city to realize its “renaissance dream” of baseball.
