The LOGO collection voting of “2015 Dalian International Women’s
Tennis Open” was finished a few days before. The LOGO of this match was finally
confirmed through many steps, including internet collection, preliminary
selection, internet voting, final selection, etc.
Since the beginning of LOGO collection activity of “2015 Dalian
International Women’s Tennis Open” on May 22, the committee of match has
collected the LOGO from the society widely. In about a month, there were nearly
one hundred works from art workers and designers participating in the activity,
they were from many cities, including Xiamen, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Ji’nan
Guangzhou, Beijing, etc.
According to information, the LOGO collection competition was based
on collecting sample and choosing 20 works for internet voting, and then
combining with internet voting result to choose the top 10 works and report
them to the WTA for final confirmation of the LOGO of this match. The review
team considered that the logo shall be simple and magnanimous, dynamic and be
of impact and art skill. The LOGO was made of a flying tennis ball, a furious
player and many powerful calligraphy lines, etc, which has combined the sports
spirit of women tennis with Chinese calligraphy and presented the fashion and
openness of Dalian as well as showed the deep culture deposits of Dalian. It
conforms to the theme and meaning of this competition.
“2015 Dalian International
Women’s Tennis Open” will be held in Debang Security Dalian Tennis Center
(Dalian Sports Center-Tennis Center) from Sept. 7, to Sept. 13. This match is a
sub-match of WTA125K series of WTA, and the award amount of the match will be
125,000 US dollars, and integrals of the champion are 160 scores. At that time,
there will be more than 60 world top 200 players from 16 countries
participating in this professional tennis match.
