In order to promote the development of tennis sport in Liaoning Province, strengthen the construction of tennis referee team, constantly improve the professional ability and working level of the referees and strengthen the tennis referee team. The Liaoning Provincial Tennis Association held the 2018 national first-class tennis referee training course in Liaoning Province at the sports center from Dec. 12 to 14. Nearly 100 referees from 13 cities in the province participated in the training.

       It is understood that this training is divided into two parts: theoretical training and practice guidance. Under the guidance of the instructor, the trainees will learn the Rules of Tennis Competition (2016 edition), match referee cases, etc. Only after passing the examination can they obtain the certificate of national first-class tennis referee. During the training period, Liaoning Tennis Association invited professor JIANG Xiaohong, an international referee, and national referees, PENG Fang and JIAO Zongyuan, to guide the trainees throughout the training. Professor JIANG Xiaohong has been engaged in the teaching of public physical education and social physical education, and has participated in the adjudication of large-scale international tennis competitions such as the Beijing Olympic Games, the 12th National Games and the 12th Sport Meeting of Liaoning province.

       In recent years, the sports center has been focusing on the development of youth tennis competitions and training, and six sessions of youth tennis competitions and public welfare training were held in 2018. The competition and training have won the unanimous praise from the contestants, the parents and all walks of life. As the national tennis referee training undertaken by the sports center, the staff of the sports center cherish the opportunity of study and have signed up for the trainingone after another, hoping to improve the level of the competition guarantee through the learning and training and lay a solid foundation for the sports center to undertake professional tennis events in the future.
