During New Year’s Day holidays just ended, though cold weather, many citizens walked out from their homes and got to the Sports Center. With the enthusiasm of ‘getting moved’, fitness fans embraced the warm sun of the winter. ‘I come to the stadium to play badminton. It is a refreshing day by sweating slightly’, said citizen Mr. Wang, ‘I will not miss the opportunity that stadiums of the Sports Center is open to the public at low charges or for free. I feel good that I can exercise my body at reasonable price.’

       On January 2, ‘2018 Baoli Dalian New Year Concert’ was held in Damai Center (Dalian Sports Center-Stadium). Five famous singers, Jonathan Lee, Chyi Chin, Dave Wang, David Lui, and Jeremy Chang Hung-Liang not only offered a warm audiovisual feast for the audience but also brought back to the youth memories of their fans. A fan Mr. Li said, ‘these five singers are the evergreen in the song circle, and they were also my favorite singers when I was young. During the New Year’s Day, I came to the Sports Center for the second time. I just came to the Center for swimming yesterday and today I came for a concert. The Sports Center is a place that citizens frequently go to.’

       What surprised citizens most was the Sports Center had been lit up by dazzling and colorful light when evening just fell, looking like a dream world. With colorful and changing lights, each stadium seemed to be in gorgeous ‘clothes’. And in the square, fancy light extended like a beautiful luminous band. You could see ones with sports elements, and ‘Zodiac Dog’ light in cutie pattern. Lawns, shrubs, and roadside trees were all in neon. No matter you were walking, riding, taking a bus or driving on the road, you could see the brilliant night view extended like a picture roll. Citizens took pictures in the dazzling colorful light and put the happiness and blessings for the New Year into their hearts.
