Recruitment of Volunteer and Ball Boys for 2016 Dalian Women’s Tennis Open was finished

       Recently, the volunteers and ball boys for Dalian Women’s Open were selected in Dalian University of Foreign Languages. Within a period of two weeks, 150 students stood out from the crowd and became the volunteers and ball boys for 2016 Dalian Women’s Tennis Open. They will render the volunteer service for Dalian Women’s Tennis Open in September of 2016.

       This recruitment of volunteers for Dalian Women’s Tennis Open attracted the attention from a large number of the college students. At the early stage, approximate 300 students entered their names. In such extremely acute competition, by the on-site examination of the oral expression ability, interpersonal communication ability, reaction capacity, tennis knowledge, and spoken English, the overall investigation was made on the students for the personal quality and the immediate reaction ability. When contending for the volunteers for such international event, the students from Dalian University of Foreign Languages demonstrated their special skills. As the volunteers for the event, 100 of such students will be engaged in the athletes reception, service at the competition field, sales of ticket, media publicity, and logistical support, and other game-related services; 50 students will act as the ball boy to render the services to the athletes at the court.

       It is understood that same as the last year, this session of Dalian Women’s Tennis Open is one of WTA 125K Series. As one of the six tournaments of 2016 WTA 125K Series in the world, Dalian is the only city in which WTA holds 125K Series in Chinese Mainland, and all the players rank top 200 in the world. In order to create an atmosphere of tennis game involving all the people, following the selection of tennis baby and the recruitment of the volunteer and ball boy, the Sports Center also initiates the appraisal and selection of “Tennis Party Hey Up”. With more warm-up activities for the match, the tennis will be on the rise.
